Frijoles Open Mic: Stories from Our Community

At Convivio, frijoles represent resilience, nourishment, migration, culture, and care. They remind us that humble ingredients can build extraordinary communities—whether they arrive as coffee beans or black and pinto beans shared around a table.

Welcome to our Frijoles season, where we want to hear the stories that make our community who we are.

Join us for a special Frijoles Open Mic. Come share a story, a poem, a song, a memory, or anything that connects you to food, culture, migration, identity, home, or community (English, Spanish, or Spanglish). Or simply come listen and be part of the audience.

Want to participate? We will have a sign-up sheet starting at 3.

Just want to listen? Come as you are. Bring a friend, grab a cafecito, and hear what our community has to share.
