Fatima Najar Madera is a proud first-generation Mexican-American from Aurora, Colorado. A passionate advocate and community leader, she has worked directly with lawmakers, led youth-driven initiatives, and is committed to building a more just and representative political system.

About / Sobre el Evento
Through her work in youth advocacy organizations and her completion of the HarvardX course U.S. Political Institutions: Congress, Presidency, Courts, and Bureaucracy, Fatima has developed a deep understanding of how systems of power work—and how young people can help change them.
Fatima’s debut book, Nuestra Historia, is a bilingual exploration of identity, youth voice, and the aftermath of the 2024 election. It reflects her belief that storytelling is a powerful tool for civic action.
As a rising senior in high school, she plans to attend college and ultimately become an attorney and political leader in the future.
